NEW ERA GENERAL HOSPITAL was envisioned by the Church of Christ Administration to help the medical needs, primarily of the Ministers of the Gospel, Regular Church Members, and their families, as well at the brethren of the Church and the Community.

It was founded in 1993 as a Primary Level, 40-bed capacity hospital. A second building was added in 2015, bringing the hospital capacity to 100-bed and elevating its classification as a Secondary Level hospital.
