About NEGH

NEW ERA GENERAL HOSPITAL was envisioned by the Church of Christ Administration to help the medical needs, primarily of the Ministers of the Gospel, Regular Church Members, and their families, as well at the brethren of the Church and the Community.

History

The Iglesia Ni Cristo’s institution for health services started with three (3) clinics. They were the following:

Culiat Clinic

Culiat Clinic, an Out-patient clinic, headed by Dr. Salvador B. Corpuz, comprised by INC doctors, nurses, midwife, and pharmacist which served all INC construction workers and volunteer workers residing at Culiat INC compound. The clinic offered services like, dental and medical check-up. This clinic started by 70’s and ceased operation by year 1993.

INC Central Office Clinic

INC Central Office Clinic started by year 1978, headed by Dr. Godofredo Nepomuceno with INC doctors, nurses and X-ray technicians. The services offered then were X-ray, Dental, Minor Surgery, Annual PE of INC Security Guards and Physical Examination of INC Regular Church workers who were candidate for ordination. The population they catered were INC Ministers, Evangelical Workers (Manggagawa) and Central Office volunteer workers.

Christian Medical/Dental and Paramedic Association (CMDPA)

Christian Medical/Dental and Paramedic Association (CMDPA) funded by the United Nation Fund for Population Activities located along EDSA Quezon Avenue. This was started on May 10, 1981 and was fully operational by October 1981 which caters to INC Ministers and their dependents, Volunteer Workers, Security Guards, INC and Non-INC members. This was headed by Dr. Godofredo Nepomuceno.

Christian Medical/Dental and Paramedic Association (CMDPA)

Maligaya Clinic

By year 1986, Maligaya Clinic was separated from this association in terms of medical services and financial support that came from INC Head Office. Maligaya Clinic function as a Primary hospital with ten (10) bed capacity, that handled cases of medical, surgical and OB in orientation, while CMDPA sole function was Family Planning Program that last until June 1984. Maligaya Clinic have 12 staff and 6 active doctors and others either on-call or as visiting consultants. Because of limited facility and bed capacity sick Ministers and their dependents were admitted to different hospitals of Metro Manila.

F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation, Inc. – New Era General Hospital

By April 23, 1993, F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation, Inc. – New Era General Hospital was inaugurated by the late Bro. Eraño G. Manalo. This is a two-storey building with a capacity of forty beds having a total floor area of two thousand four hundred thirty (2,430) square meters strategically situated at Commonwealth Avenue, New Era Quezon City. FYMMFI-NEGH is a private hospital, classified by DOH as Level 1. The first patients of FYMMFI-NEGH were the patients from Maligaya Clinic. Some doctors and volunteer workers of Culiat Clinic, Central Office Clinic and Maligaya Clinic were also transferred to New Era General Hospital.

F.Y. Manalo Medical Foundation, Inc. – New Era General Hospital

NEGH Building 2, Avelina Manalo Makapugay Building

Last November 2015, another milestone was set when NEGH Building 2, Avelina Manalo Makapugay Building was inaugurated by The Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo. This is a four storey building adjacent to the existing building. This new building caters for the inpatient clients with a total of 100 bed capacity and after two years became a Level 2 Hospital with a Tertiary level Clinical Laboratories.
